The following post was taken from the Palwaukee Squadron Facebook page:

“Congratulations to Palwaukee’s very own C/Lt Col Josh Lambert on his appointment to the US Air Force Academy!
Since joining Civil Air Patrol at age 12, Cadet Lambert rose through the ranks, attended numerous Encampments and National Cadet Special Activities, and even earned his wings through becoming a Private Pilot, among other accolades.
Throughout his cadet career, Cadet Lambert has served as a leader, mentor, and aerospace role model to dozens of cadets across the nation. He epitomizes the CAP Core Values (which happen to be identical to those of the Academy), and will continue to do so next month as Cadet Commander of the Illinois Wing Spring Encampment.
We couldn’t be prouder, and wish him the best in his journey to the wild blue yonder! PWK all the way!”

Cadet Lambert was also chosen to attend Civil Air Patrol’s Legislative Days again this year. His leadership and ability mentor other cadets was a prime reason he was selected to attend for a second year.
